Still snow on Lago Vivo
Found snow since K6 to K4 path turn. The K4 walks in the middle of Valle Inferno where the sun is late to warm up and the snow is still hard enough to keep my feet to sink. Someone used snowshoes before and paved a path onto the path and I took advantage of it.
The red/white path markers on the trees are more useful to show how much snow came down than to remember me a path I know well and thus showing the actual snow level is 1.2 - 1.6 metres higher that the soil. And I like it, I don't ware snowshoes while I think of how it'll be when coming back, after the action of the sun making the snow too soft to support my weight on a single foot. It'll be fun.
Valle Inferno is all white around and with a different acoustics given the snow. Birds through the beeches are well awaken and I still can keep a good pace, maybe I'll be at Lago Vivo sooner than I thought. And soon is hot enough to put some clothes in the backpack and start walking lighter, breathing is just as it should always be, full, making peace increasing in my heart-mind.
Keep walking throuhg the beeches I find myself ahead of where I thought I could be and now I'm approaching the Lago Vivo plain, and throught the trees in the backgournd Monte Petroso is there and I find it welcoming as usual. The bright blue sky is so terse it makes a full background to the horizon shaped by mountains' profile. It's where I want to stay, here and now.
Suddenly I realize I forgot the sun filters of my glasses, that means I'll be in a light bath. The sun is warm and the snow surface while it suffer the sun efforts, it's still rigid, signs of the night ice, christals are shining all around while I step on the plain, before the lake. It could sound rethoric but it's literally like diamonds spread everywhere, morphing in thier distribution but never leaving the observer.
And Lago Vivo it's there, rebirthing as every year, to support a wide variety of life coming back from winter for reproduction and starting another cycle. Gratitude.
Before continuing to the way back I was looking around by the lake and found some very interesting tracks on the snow... and took one last picture of Lago Vivo.
